GINKAKU-JI (Temple): Silver Pavilion

This temple was built in 1489 during the Muromachi Period by Shogun Asikaga Yoshimasa. The Togudo Hall is of the original Shoin structure. The garden is an outstanding example of Muromachi Period landscape architecture.
